Norwegian Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients

  • 500 ml of warm water.
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  • 8 g dry yeast.
  • 400 g of whole wheat
  • 2 teaspoons of salt.
  • 400 grams of bread flour.
  • 50 ml of vegetable oil.

Instructions

  1. Mix water, sugar and yeast
  2. Cover and leave for 5 minutes for the yeast to dissolve.
  3. Sift whole wheat flour, bread flour through a sieve into a separate bowl.
  4. Add salt and mix well.
  5. Combine water mixture with the flour
  6. Add vegetable oil and combine
  7. Knead dough in machine for 8 minutes
  8. Lubricate the bowl with vegetable oil.
  9. Cover and leave in a warm place for 1 hour to rise.
  10. Bread pans (20 cm x 11 cm) for baking grease with vegetable oil.
  11. Divide into 2 parts.
  12. Roll them into a ball.
  13. Cover and leave for 20 minutes.
  14. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2 cm (3/4 inch).
  15. Roll up into a tube.
  16. Pin the edges.
  17. We repeat the same process.
  18. Cover and leave for another 20 minutes.
  19. Lubricate with water.
  20. Sprinkle them with flour.
  21. Place on rack to cool.
