Adobo
Puerto Ricans love adobo! And we use it in almost all of our dishes. If the food isn't sweet, then it likely has adobo. Now most of us just buy our adobo at the store, but there are lots of good reasons not to. First, some people (like those who live in different countries) literally can't buy it. Second, store-bought adobo may have preservatives, MSG, or too much sodium. And finally, making your own adobo allows you to customize your spice blend to your own personal preference. And as an added benefit, people will think you are cool because you make your own adobo – a true Puerto Rican DIYer.
